Sitting up in my room thinking about the world. What am I supposed to do with all these problems? I am just one person and I can't do this alone I need all my people beside me. So we gotta stand up. So we gotta stand together, joining hand in hand around each other. Keep your head up and don't lose hope. Guided by our love and light, we won't give up. Sitting up in my room thinking about the world. What am I supposed to do with all these problems? sometimes I feel so confused and don't know where to run. I need all my people beside me. So we gotta stand up. So we gotta stand together, joining hand in hand around each other. Keep your head up and don't lose hope. Guided by our love and light, we won't give up. Won't give up, oh no we won't give up.

Black Snake 03:29
Mama they said it's a felony to stand up for the water that we drink. So, i put my body in the way of the machine that was digging up those graves. Well, they dug up the place where my grandmama lays, now they wanna put me in jail. All these uneven ways keep my people as slaves. Let me say, your black snake will fail. Well, the old ones say there are two different ways, go with the gold or go with the green. It's gonna take a change in our ways and all our prayers for the water to be clean. Well, they dug up the place where my grandmama lays, now they wanna put me in jail. All these uneven ways keep my people as slaves. Let me say, your black snake will fail. Oh, the water. Well, they dug up the place where my grandmama lays, now they wanna put me in jail. All these uneven ways keep my people as slaves. Let me say, your black snake will fail.

Never Know 04:15
Take time to be around you, out from inside, some time to be without your worry and pride. Give till your pocket's empty. Take in the light. All that we'll ever need is yours as well as mine. You never know, You never know who you might love. You never know who might love you. You never know who you might love. Fire in a cloud of darkness. What will you see? Choosing to know the beauty, change what will be. Solid foundations cannot be washed away. Waves of the storm will bring a healing rain. You never know, You never know who you might love. You never know who might love you. You never know who you might love. You never know, You never know who you might love. You never know who might love you. You never know who you might love.

Wind 04:33
Times are changing. My head spins. I don't know where you end and I begin. I don't know what changed, I don't know what remains, but I think you do. Do you? Do you know who this is? Seems to me to be so obvious that between you and me is so wide and so deep, you can't even see me, can you? Seasons and years, passions and fears, dry spell and rain, pleasure and pain. Oh, seasons and years, passions and fears, dry spell and rain, pleasure and pain. The road lays out before me. You know I'm gonna go. I'm never gonna be the girl you used to know. If I can't find my way back, I don't know what I'll do. But, if the wind blows in Kansas, I'll still be loving you. If the wind blows in Kansas... Times have changed, and here I stand. Still no telling just where I'll land. All I know my friend, is that love don't end or go away, but I couldn't stay. Do you know who I am? Seems to me that you don't understand that between you and me is so wide and so deep, you can't even hear me can you? Seasons and years, passions and fears, dry spell and rain, pleasure and pain. Oh, seasons and years, passions and fears, dry spell and rain, pleasure and pain. The road lays out before me. You know I'm gonna go. I'm never gonna be the girl you used to know. If I can't find my way back, I don't know what I'll do. But, if the wind blows in Kansas, I'll still be loving you. If the wind blows in Kansas I'll still be loving... If the wind blows in Kansas...

Undone 03:07
Why don't you love me? She cries out with a scream. It's just a dream, but it was her heart all this time strung together with a thin thread of line. Now she's undone. It's all your doin', yeah she's undone. I think I'm done, it's all your doin' Yeah, she's undone. Can't you see it's all your fault? This is my biggest loss. Is this a dream? But you know, nothing seemed so real as when you showed me you could feel. Was that a dream? Now I think I'm done. It's all your doin'. yeah, I think I'm done. Oh, she's undone. It's all your doin'. Yeah, she's undone. But, I don't give up so easily. But, I don't give up so easily. No, I don't give up so easily. No, I don't give up so easily. But, I don't give up so easily. But, I don't give up so easily. No, I don't give up so easily. No, I don't give up so easily. And I think I'm done. It's all my doin'. Yeah, I think I'm done. Oh, she's undone, it's all her doin'. Yeah, she's undone.

Willow Tree 02:41
Well, the Flint Hills of Kansas is where I choose to call my home, but dang if the red dirt has not stained me to my bones. And goodness will find me underneath that willow tree, knowing what's done is done, is nothing for me today. So many minutes past, so many hours of my life, each breath I take a gift, the hope of glory bye and bye. And goodness will find me underneath that willow tree, knowing what's done is done, is nothing for me today. And peace surely finds me underneath that willow tree knowing what's done is done is nothing for me today.

Strong City 04:24
I come from Strong City where the mighty river falls. Ain't it a pity, mama says, when the rain begins to fall? The river will rise soon, will the wildflowers bloom? When was the last time you saw the moon in Strong City? I come from Strong City where the prairie meets the sky. Isn't it pretty when the clouds begin to cry? The river will rise soon, will the wildflowers bloom? When was the last time you saw the moon in Strong City? I'm leaving Strong City. No use in lookin' back. It's hard to see the beauty when the train's run out of track. The river will rise soon, will the wildflowers bloom? It was was the last time you saw the moon in Strong City. I come from Strong City where the mighty river falls. Such a pretty memory, rolling hills, coyote calls. The river will rise soon, will the wildflowers bloom? When was the last time you saw the moon in Strong City?

Flood of '51 05:01
My mother at one year old Cradled in a dresser drawer From the farm to higher ground Away from the rising Cottonwood Some lost their homes Others lost their lives So they moved up in the hills Away (away, away) from the rising Cottonwood Those who returned Rebuilt and repaired Watched the fields reappear Not fearful of the rising Cottonwood Drove the cows back to the barn Cleaned the mud off everything Got right back to the land Not fearful (fearful, fearful) of the rising cottonwood The river changing course As well as history Washing towns downstream In the hundred-year flood of ‘51 Banks and shops and bars Train stations and homes Became abandoned relics of The flood of ‘51 Now the ghost towns remain With haunting memories… Row row row your boat Gently down the stream Merrily merrily merrily merrily Life is but a dream [bridge] Nature showed us all We are not in control And took us to our knees In the devastating flood (devastating flood) Devastating flood (devastating flood) Devastating flood of ‘51 The river changing course As well as history Washing towns downstream In the hundred-year flood of ‘51

Mother 04:34
You and I, we are the same. I'm the place from whence you came. Gave you bones, I gave you blood. Turned your face toward the sun. Stay with me a little while. Sow your seeds, drink deep. You'll remember who you are. remember who you are. Who you are Stay with me, You will see... You and I we are the same. Dust to dust, from whence you came. Everything returns to one. Turn your face toward the sun. Stay with me. Stay with me. Stay with me.

Moonflower 03:43
Moonflower's bloomin', perfume's in the air. Mother, protect us, your children so fair. Teach us and guide us just where the path leads. Bless us with plenty of flowers and seeds. Moonflower, moonflower, send us a dream. Show us a picture of how it should be. The hour approaches, we are known by our deeds. Bless us with plenty of flowers and seeds. Moonflower sent me on quite an adventure. We soared over mountain and valley and sea. Returning I sat at the feet of the Mother. She blessed us with plenty of flowers and seeds. There's a way of living that isn't a burden. It's really quite easy, just take what you need and leave all the rest for the rest of creation, and bless them with plenty of flowers and seeds.

Well, we been livin' high on the hog since the tax check came and went. We don't know 'bout savin' no money but we damn sure get it spent. We got just enough for a 12 pack and a couple more gallons of fuel, and if I can't spend no money tonight, I'm still gonna spend it with you. Let's go down by the river tonight Let's go down by the river tonight. Look at the stars above and make sweet love, it's goin' down by the river tonight. Well, you came here to go fishin' and I came here to get saved. I'm gonna stick my toes in a river that flows and rolls all my sins away. We'll have ourselves communion with sandwiches and homemade wine, and I might not make it to church tomorrow but tonight I feel divine. Let's go down by the river tonight Let's go down by the river tonight. Look at the stars above and make sweet love, it's goin' down by the river tonight. Look at the stars above and make sweet love, it's goin' down by the river tonight.
